A reminder to all members that the course will be closed this Tuesday for greens coring. The process will be as usual, with cores being removed, picked up, then top dressing and fertilising to follow in the days after. In years gone by we have always begun coring on a Monday, however we were unable to get the contractors until Tuesday this year. This ultimately will put us one day behind we we are usually at, which will mean that we will still be undertaking many jobs on Wednesday and Thursday. For the golfers playing on Wednesday in the mid week competition, I ask for your understanding while we do our best to get the work done as quickly as possible. It is highly likely that some of the greens will still require more sand, meaning the core holes will be exposed more than we would like. We will endeavor to do these jobs without interruption to anyone's golf, however we ask for your patience and understanding should you have to wait for staff to undertake any jobs that need doing. We are not in a position to be waiting for golfers during this process, as it is a big job for a small crew of staff to undertake. The quicker we can work without delay, the quicker we will have our greens back to their fantastic best.
